About The Integrity Practice
The Integrity Practice is a space for exploring leadership as practice as a real, imperfect, relational, and alive thing
I started this publication because I saw how often integrity is spoken of as a value, but rarely lived as an ongoing discipline. Too many organisations polish their façades while ignoring ruptures beneath the surface. Too many leaders retreat into silence when authoritarianism, racism, or injustice call for moral clarity. And too many of us are left trying to reconcile our personal values with professional contexts that make them feel risky or impossible.
This Substack is where I think out loud about what it really means to lead with integrity when the stakes are high. It is rooted in feminist, anti-supremacy principles: that leadership is not the preserve of a chosen few but the practice of the many; that power must be examined as well as exercised; that relationships, not grand gestures, are the real infrastructure of change.
Here, integrity is not a fixed destination but a practice we return to:
Aligning values with choices, even when it is uncomfortable
Speaking into moments of injustice rather than waiting for safety
Repairing ruptures rather than hiding them
Learning out loud, admitting mistakes, and modelling growth
Building cultures of belonging through care, courage, and accountability
Embedding integrity into long-term projects of positive change and impact
You’ll find essays, reflections, and practice prompts. Some will be deeply personal, others more outward-looking at organisations, politics, and culture. All are part of my ongoing attempt to understand how we keep leadership alive, relational, and human in times when fear, urgency, and authoritarian logics are pressing in.

About Letesia Gibson
Hello, I’m the founder of New Ways, a leadership and culture consultancy that partners with purpose-led organisations to centre equity, accountability, and belonging in how they lead and work. With more than 20 years of experience across behaviour change, futures thinking, strategy, and leadership development, I work with organisations that want to show up differently in the world — with more courage, clarity, and impact rooted in equity and justice.
New Ways has been described as “a light in the dark,” “a space that combines challenge and compassion,” and “a rare kind of organisation that helps leaders grow courage and confidence.” We walk alongside leadership teams, especially in the social change sector, to move equity from intention into practice, embedding it in everyday behaviours, culture, and decision-making.
